Flying toward the setting sun

I am flying.
I am flying toward the setting sun.
It has been a good day.
Dreams accomplished,
Dreams failed;
Nightmares realized,
Nightmares effaced.
All I can say is that
It has been a good day.
A day of reflection,
A day of fun,
Hiking here, resting there,
Joy and excitement,
Sadness and pain.
Gratefully accepting food
From fellow hikers,
And sharing my own as well.
It has been a good day.
Storms and rainbows,
Laughter and tears,
Sometimes apart,
Sometimes at once.
The day is almost over.
I can hear the singing.
I am flying, I am soaring
Toward the risen Son.
