Facing the death of a loved one is one of the most difficult things in this
life. Our thoughts naturally gravitate to our last moments together. The
last words, the last touch, ... the last.
But, with eyes of faith, we can catch a glimpse of their first moments in
Heaven --the first of forever. As a Christian, we sorrow not as those
which have no hope.
Your first step on Heaven’s shore, your first look at the Savior, your first
thought that there is no pain; your first sound, hearing angels sing, your
first look at the pearly gate, a golden street on a sunny day, your first
glimpse of your mother dear, her smiling face because you’re finally there.
We celebrate today, we celebrate today, we celebrate today ... not your
last, but your many firsts.
In my Father’s House are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have
told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And, if I go and prepare a place
for you, I will come again. (John 14 :2, 3a)
